The last dedicated Veterans Tournament was held in Vanderbijlpark on 2 May 2009 and we are grateful for the effort that Sedibeng Korfball Association has put in to make a success of this Tournament in its current format. As was the case last year only five teams entered the tournament. Although the competition between the teams present was fierce, the tournament was concluded in a very friendly and sporting atmosphere. At the end of the day the team from Gauteng East was the eventual gold medal winners with the teams from Gauteng North and Kwa-Zulu Natal taking silver and bronze respectively. A big thank-you from the South African Korfball Federation goes to those who officiated as referees during the tournament for their efforts and willingness to render this very important service.
